On occasion it is necessary to formally intervene in families where a child's safety cannot be ensured, and coordinate a multi agency response to safeguard children at risk from harm.
Support to children and families is accessed through social workers within the Children’s Assessment & Safeguarding Service who will assess, monitor, review and provide services to children in need, looked after children and children in need of protection.
The aims are to:
• Carry out assessments and provide services in accordance with national standards
• Wherever possible, we support children within their own families
• Seek permanency for children who cannot live with their birth families
We are searching for highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated social workers to join this fast paced frontline service. In return we offer a relocation package, compressed working hours, payment of HCPC fees after the first year and a comprehensive training package for ASYE.
