Vacancy Description

Being accountable to the Programme Manager, this role is key to the successful delivery of the project and is fixed term until 31st March 2021.


This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new vibrant team for the next 3 years. An opportunity to deliver tangible benefits to the communities of North East Lincolnshire and Greater Lincolnshire. The project will cement the Council’s position as leading the way in delivering clean growth and a low carbon economy.


Typically you will be working with a team of specialists and partners and, under the guidance of the Programme Manager, helping to ensure the overall programme delivers contracted outputs and targets. You must be a suitably qualified and experienced Energy Manager, having excellent project management and organisational skills and attention to detail and have experience of delivering similar complex externally funded projects. You will be working across Greater Lincolnshire delivering and overseeing large-scale investment in energy efficiency schemes, smart energy management and renewable energy projects in public infrastructure. The role is predominantly office based, there will be a requirement to work in an agile way across a range of sites throughout Greater Lincolnshire, and be flexible to meet the needs of the project to ensure its success.


You will possess excellent communication skills, working in close coordination with building owners (local authority) and site managers, utilising existing procured contracts where possible, to develop a suite of appropriate Energy Conservation Measures and commission suitable schemes. You will undertake the key coordinating role with Salix Finance and other funding bodies to gain public match funding for over £4m of investment.
