Vacancy Description

We are seeking to appoint a level 1 Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic and energetic to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis with additional needs. The post will involve supporting the child’s learning, social and personal care needs. Under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO, you will be required to support the child individually as well as supporting within a whole group setting. When required, it is expected that the successful candidate will liaise with parents/carers, academy staff and agencies that support the needs of the pupil. Knowledge of the Early Years framework and working with children with Special Educational Needs would be desirable for this position. 

You should have good levels of Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE A-C passes or above), possess a calm manner and show commitment to improving children’s learning. The ideal candidate will have a professional approach to their work. This position is full-time and on a temporary basis, attached to the child requiring support. We are looking for the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.
