Required for September 2018

When you join Cambridge Park Academy, you join a strong multi-disciplinary team, delivering cutting edge education, values and aims through a personalised approach that enables success for all learners. Students, teachers, parents and professionals alike tell us how much they value our purposeful and supportive ethos.
Our students are at the centre of everything we do at the Academy, with a staff team, dedicated to the education and care of each and every one of them. We are a forward thinking and a rapidly developing Academy, focussed on meeting the challenge that every new student brings. We support learners with Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Disorders aged 3-19. Our provision boasts a rapidly expanding 6th Form which provides learners with a strong preparation for their adult life. In addition to this, The Laurus base provides education to students with high functioning Autistic Spectrum Conditions, providing individual solutions to overcome their challenges.
Following a recent Ofsted inspection in November 2016, the Academy was placed in to Special Measures. However, significant headway has been made in all areas highlighted by the inspectors and in all respects this is an exciting time to join the team. We have a newly established Senior Leadership Team and Governing Board who are committed to leading our Academy on our journey to becoming ‘good’ and then ‘outstanding’.
To support this journey and in order to add capacity we are looking to appoint an Early Years/Key Stage 1 teacher from September 2018. If you are a colleague with a successful record of outstanding teaching, then this role offers an opportunity to challenge yourself in a new environment. Highly motivated and driven, applicants should have the creativity and vision to inspire and support change with a focus on ensuring successful outcomes.
You will need a ‘can-do’ attitude that can inspire and engage learners, staff and our wider educational community. In return, you will be part of a strong team and will be given extensive support to develop to your full potential in this role and beyond. The management team are fully supportive of and encourage creative practise. We are interested in hearing from candidates who have special school or mainstream experience with a background in either EYFS or Primary education.
The successful candidate will:
- Have excellent pedagogical skills
- Have EYFS/Primary curriculum knowledge
- Have exceptional communication skills
- Be committed to providing a safe and challenging learning environment
We welcome and encourage visits to the Academy, where you will have the opportunity to meet some of our staff, students, governors and leaders to learn more about our ethos, vision and journey.
For further information, to organise a visit or to request an application pack please contact Mrs S Bates (PA to the Principal) or Mrs E Raper. Please send completed application forms to firstname.lastname@example.org
The closing date for completed applications is Noon on Friday 23rd March, shortlisting on the afternoon of the 23rd and interviews on Wednesday 28th March 2018
