Home Options Officer
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Home Options Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for delivering the best possible outcomes for all of our customers. It would be good if you have knowledge of housing legislation including the new duties under the Homeless Reduction Act, and have experience of working with vulnerable people in a challenging front-line environment. A willingness to learn is essential!
We need a team member who is approachable and non-judgemental and has the patience to guide and encourage people in housing difficulty to a solution. Excellent communication, interviewing, negotiating and IT skills are a must, as is the ability to build effective working relationships, particularly with our external partners.
Previous experience of working in a homelessness service is not essential and we would welcome applications from people with transferable skills.
You will have an enquiring mind and will want to help us put improving outcomes for the people of North East Lincolnshire at the heart of our work. What’s more, you will have a drive and passion for supporting meaningful change in the lives of our customers, from solving social exclusion issues, to encouraging and nurturing lifestyle change and working alongside the many agencies that support our residents.

Work base: Civic Offices, Cleethorpes (plus Municipal Offices, Grimsby and various other locations across the borough as required)
